Common illness - Acne

What is Acne?
Acne is a red, irritating skin infection caused by changes in the sebaceous glands. The redness that comes with acne is inflammation of the skin, the result of the response to the infection. Typically, acne appears on the face, chest, and back. Acne can also occur on the neck and upper arms. These are the main oil-producing areas of the body. As a result, oil combines with dead skin cells to block hair folliciles, where oil is trapped under the blocked por and builds up. This infection makes the skin swollen and red, which then becomes visible.
